PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Providence police say a gunman opened fire on a city street in broad daylight and caused a car to crash, but no one was injured.

A 23-year-old woman told police that she and a man were driving on Broad Street at about 1:30 p.m. Monday when someone unknown to them shot at their car. She said the windshield was struck by the gunfire, and they crashed into two parked cars.
