EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Rhode Island officials say cleanup efforts will soon be underway at the site of a former recycling facility that closed after years of complaints from neighbors.

The state's Department of Environmental Management said Friday that it will closely monitor the removal of construction and demolition debris left behind when TLA-Pond View closed its doors last year. The cleanup is expected to take about 60 days.

The facility recycled construction and demolition debris for 14 years until the state suspended its operating permit in 2011. It was put into receivership last year.

Neighbors had long complained about noise, dust and other problems near the facility.
