LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) — A 21-year-old Rhode Island man was killed and a 22-year-old Massachusetts man was critically injured in a single-car rollover crash in Lincoln.

Rhode Island State Police say the accident that killed Simon Ratsamy of Woonsocket and injured Aarron Harmon of Bellingham happened on Route 99 around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the Subaru Impreza Harmon was driving was traveling southbound in the left travel lane before Sayles Hill Road when it crossed the right lane and went off the road onto the grass shoulder. It hit a rock ledge, rolled over, then stopped back in the left travel lane, upside down.

Both men were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Ratsamy was later pronounced dead.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates speed may have been a factor in the crash.
