PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Providence College has named a top Connecticut College official as its new senior vice president of institutional advancement.
The school announced the appointment of Gregory Waldron on Wednesday. He has served as vice president for college advancement at Connecticut College in New London since 2004.
PC says Waldron led a 44-person team at Connecticut College in all aspects of institutional advancement and spearheaded a successful $211 million capital campaign. He raised an average of $20 million in new gifts and commitments each year.
Waldron worked previously at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., and spent five years with Morgan Stanley on Wall Street.
PC President Rev. Brian Shanley says Waldron's experience will be critical as he leads the school's capital campaign. Waldron will serve as a member of Shanley's cabinet.
