PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island lawmakers are getting a look at the state's budget numbers as next year's legislative session nears.

The House Finance Committee is scheduled to meet Wednesday at the Statehouse to receive an update and analysis of the latest state financial figures and estimates for future revenues.

It's the first time the committee has met since new revenue forecasts were released last month.

Lawmakers will convene for their 2014 session early next month.
