PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Residents in South Providence plan to lock arms in a rally against gun violence.
The "Lock Arms for Peace'' rally is being sponsored by Project: Night vision, a program that provides activities at night for local teens.
Executive Director Kobi Dennis tells the Providence Journal that everybody is welcome at the rally, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Broad Street near Laura and Mitchell streets.
Dennis says residents simply plan to stand arm-in-arm to show solidarity in the fight against gun violence in the city.
