PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Officials at a Rhode Island hospital say pop and country music star Taylor Swift put smiles on many children's faces during a surprise visit.
Hasbro Children's Hospital spokeswoman Jill Reuter says Swift and her father stopped by Monday and visited numerous children at the Providence care center. Reuter says Swift even played a song for children in a psychiatric unit.
Reuter says the five-hour visit was one of the longest the hospital has ever had. She says Swift decided Sunday night to spend time with patients at the hospital and her representatives asked hospital officials to keep it quiet.
