During a recent radio interview Paul McCartney was asked if any L.A.-based musician friends would be joining him onstage for his show at Dodger Stadium on August 10th.
“It’s always a possibility, you know,” he said. “It depends who’s in town, who fancies showing up. But you’re right, that’s one of the great things about L.A. is that nowadays I have millions of people I know out there, not least of all Ringo. So, who knows, we might find a couple of them creeping up on stage unbeknownst to me.”
The Dodger Stadium show will mark the first time McCartney has played at the famous ballpark since August 28, 1966, which was the second-to-last Beatles concert. Their final performance was the next day at San Francisco’s CandlestickPark, where McCartney will play on Aug. 14. It will be the last concert played at the stadium, which will be torn down in late-2014 or early-2015, as the San Francisco 49ers will move into the brand-new Levi’s Stadium this fall.
