Dylan Launches "Heaven's Door" Whiskey

Bob Dylan is dipping into the whiskey business - with the launch of his new whiskey, “Heaven’s Door,” a nod to his 1973 hit “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.” He’s teamed up with bourbon makers Angel’s Envy to create three small batch whiskeys: A straight rye, a double barrel whiskey, and a Tennessee bourbon.

“We both wanted to create a collection of American whiskeys that, in their own way, tell a story,” Dylan tells The New York Times. “I’ve been traveling for decades, and I’ve been able to try some of the best spirits that the world of whiskey has to offer. This is great whiskey.”

A limited edition “Bootleg Series” of whiskey is set to launch sometime next year. They’ll feature ceramic bottles with oil and watercolor paintings. The initial line of Heaven’s Door is available now online and in select liquor stores across the U.S.
