David Bowie Song Released on His Birthday

Fans are getting a gift on what would’ve been David Bowie’s 73rd birthday. The late music legend’s estate just shared a previously unreleased version of “The Man Who Sold The World.” The rare track comes from Bowie’s upcoming release forRecord Store Dayon April 18th. “ChangesNowBowie” features nine radio recordings, broadcast by the BBC on Bowie’s 50th birthday in 1997. If you can’t wait until then, the track will also be on an EP, “Is It Any Wonder?," dropping next week, featuring six more rare songs.

The “ChangesNowBowie” session is stripped-back, mostly acoustic, recorded and mixed in New York back in 1996 during rehearsals for Bowie’s 50th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden.  Check out a clip of the song and more info below.
