Springsteen Releases 1988 Live Recording from the Vault

Bruce Springsteen has released another live recording from the vault for his ongoing live download series. The Boss’ latest offering is his show at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan back on March 28th, 1988.

For the early stop on his “Tunnel Of Love Express” tour, Springsteen broke out songs from the album along with a solo acoustic rendition of “Born To Run,” a cover of “Love Me Tender” by Elvis Presley, and the “Chimes Of Freedom” EP B-side “Be True.” The tour was Springsteen’s last time hitting the road with the E Street Band before their 1999 reunion.

For the live download series, Springsteen has released “Walk Like A Man”, a song that’s only been performed 30 times – and not at all since his 2005 “Devils and Dust” tour. Check it out below. Photo: Getty Images. Video courtesy of YouTube. Source:Rolling Stone
