The soundtrack to Cameron Crowe's classic 1989 film “Say Anything…” is getting reissued this year on vinyl, with a bunch of new music.
“Say Anything… Expanded Motion Picture Soundtrack” will include not only a re-mastered edition of the 10-track soundtrack, which includes Peter Gabriel’s classic “In Your Eyes,” but it will feature a second LP with bonus tracks and demos. Such bonus tracks, which didn’t make the original album, include Nancy Wilson of Heart’s “Joe Lies,” demo, which was sung by LilyTaylor in the movie, as well as songs by Soundgarden, Aerosmith and more. It will also include Wilson’s demo of “That Will Never Be Me,” also about Joe, which has just been released.
- Fanscan pre-orderthe reissue starting Wednesday 2/03. It comes on both 180-gram translucent red and 180-gram black vinyl, and includes a 16-page booklet with photos and liner notes from the film stars John Cusack, Ione Sky and more, as well as from writer/director Crowe.
- And that’s not all. Soundtracks to two more Crowe films are expected to get expanded reissues this year, 1992’s “Singles” and 1996’s “Jerry Maguire,” which will be released on vinyl for the first time.
