Dennis DeYoung Drops New Single From Final Album

Former Styx singer Dennis DeYoung is giving fans another preview of his upcoming final album, “26 East, Vol. 2.” He’s released a new single, “Isle of Misanthrope.”

“'Isle of Misanthrope' is my musical journey back to the days of Styx’s ‘Equinox’ and 'Suite Madame Blue,' as I attempt to explain the exasperating and confounding nature of mankind through metaphor,” he explains about the single. “It’s got a good beat but won’t be a hit at the disco."

A bit of my own commentary here... The song sounds like something from an off-off-off Broadway musical and the video looks like a parody of Spinal Tap. BUT... if you already dig Dennis' post-Styx stuff, this is probably something you'll like.

Dennis’ final album “26 East, Vol. 2” is due for release on June 11th and can be pre-orderedHERE.Check out the new single below.
