Journey’s Neal Schon’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” Guitar Sells For $250K

Journey’s Neal Schon was auctioning off 112 of his guitars through Heritage Auctions, and at least one brought in some serious cash.

The 1977 black Gibson Les Paul, which Schon recorded the Journey classic “Don’t Stop Believin’ on, was sold for $250,000. In addition to recording the song, Schon used that guitar for much of the band’s “Escape” album and tour.

The new owner of the axe is Indianapolis Colts CEO Jim Irsay, who has a huge collection of rock and roll memorabilia, including Pink Floyd guitaristDavid Gilmour’s black Stratocaster.
