A "The Lost Boys" Reboot Is In The Works!

It's been said over and over again, there are no new ideas in Hollywood. The evidence is the slew of movie remakes that have been hitting theaters for the last several years. Everything from "Dirty Dancing" to "Pet Sematary" to "Ghost Busters" has gotten a brand new life on the big screen. Well, if you like that sort of thing, get ready for another 80s movie remake. This time it's the 80s horror comedy classic "The Lost Boys!"

The cult favorite starred a 21 year old Kiefer Sutherland as David the head of a vampire biker gang in the seaside town of Santa Carla, California. New arrival, Michael Emerson (Jason Patric) gets drawn into the gang and is turned into a vampire. His brother Sam (Corey Haim) and his friends The Frog Brothers, Edgar and Alan join forces to save him.

This was the first movie that Corey Haim and Corey Feldman starred in together. Following the popularity of this film, "The Two Coreys would go on to act together several teen movies.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Warner Brothers is now working on a reboot of "The Lost Boys starring Noah Jupe who played John Krasinski's son Marcus Abbott in "A Quiet Place," and Jaeden Martell who starred as a young Bill Denbrough in the movie "It" (yup, another remake.)

The reboot will be filmed by British director Jonathan Entwistle, who has given us some interesting, dark, teen comedy series for Netflix, so if anyone can possible pull this off he can.
