The Labrador Retriever is Top Tog!

Yes, there are lots of us cat people, but I think it’s safe to say that a plurality of Americans are dog lovers. Some favor poodles, some French Bulldogs but according to the American Kennel Club the favorite dog in the United States is the Labrador Retriever for the 31st year in a row!

Labs are great with kids, so they’re a perfect fit for families, and they’re among the smartest of the dog breeds.

Below Labradors on the list there have been some changes to the Top Five, with the Poodle making a comeback for the first time since 1997, landing at Number 5 on the list. Also, the Bulldog is out of the Top Five this year for the first time since 2012.
