A recent report suggested a deal was in the works that involved the sale of not only Phil Collins' catalog, but the catalogs of both Genesis and Mike Rutherford’s band Mike & The Mechanics. Well, now the deal has been confirmed.

Collins and his bandmates Rutherford and Tony Banks have sold their publishing rights and master recordings to Concord Music in a deal worth a reported $300 million. The deal also includes Banks and Rutherford’s solo work, including their band Mike & The Mechanics, but does not include any Genesis music from the Peter Gabriel years, or any of Gabriel’s solo work.
