Les Misérables is at Providence Performing Arts Center Now Through Sunday

I had a late night at the theater last night, but man was it worth it!

There’s a reason Les Misérables is one of the longest-running Broadway musicals...it’s phenomenal.

This three hour long show never drags as it moves from one classic song to the next. The show is overflowing with powerful voices from Nic Cartell’s ‘Jean Valjean’ to Haley Dortch’s ‘Fantine’ you’ll enjoy all of your favorites including “Bring Him Home,” “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own” and the song that brings down the house, “Do You Hear the People Sing?”

If you’re new to the story, it’s set in 19th century France, and there is much unrest in Paris as the poor are growing angry over the way they are treated. Because the dialogue is sung, the story can be a bit difficult to follow, so I highly suggest you read the synopsis provided in the program to give yourself a little background.

What is some very heavy subject matter does have its lighter moments mainly provided by Monsieur and Madame Thénardier who sing the rousing song “Master of the House.”

Treat yourself to a fabulous night out at the Providence Performing Arts Center and go see Les Misérables!

The world’s most popular musical is at PPAC now through this Sunday, November 20th. Get your tickets at the PPAC Box Office at 401-421-ARTS or buy them online HERE
