A seal pup who was found emaciated off the coast of Bermuda has been released to the wild after being rehabilitated at Mystic Aquarium. The Today Show cameras were rolling at Blue Shutters Beach in Charlestown, Rhode Island while the seal made his way back to the ocean on Tuesday April 11th, 2023.
The seal, named Northlands, is just one of five seals ever to be found in Bermuda, according to an NBC10 News story. Experts don't know how he swam so far out of the cool waters of his natural habitat and ended up on a Bermuda beach. Watch the video:
