Aerosmith might be on a hiatus while Steven Tyler sorts out his legal issues, but that doesn’t mean the bandmates are taking a break. Guitarist Joe Perry has announced a new solo album is on the way.
Perry has revealed “Switzerland Manifesto MKII” will drop on May 26th… and he’s released the first single to celebrate. “Fortunate One” is a collab with singer Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes. “I’m really excited to get this song out,” admits Perry. “My old friend Chris Robinson… sang on it, he knocked it out of the park!”
The album is confirmed to be a follow-up to Perry’s 2018 LP, “Switzerland Manifesto.” Actor Johnny Depp is credited as a producer, as Perry admits much of the sound from both albums was written at Depp’s home in 2017. Check out “Fortunate One” below.
