In the wee hours of Monday morning, Rhode Islanders who were lucky enough to be awake saw a weather phenomenon usually only seen around the Arctic Circle. You didn't need to travel to Alaska, Northern Canada or Scandinavia to see the Aurora Borealis, or "northern lights."
