Memorial Day Deals for Active Duty Military Members and Veterans

On Monday, Americans will honor our fallen soldiers for Memorial Day. And several merchandise brands and retail stores are taking the day as an opportunity to thank our active-duty military members and veterans as well by offering some extra discounts.  

These are some of the special deals available to our soldiers this weekend: 

• Bass Pro Shops is offering a Legendary Salute military discount. Now through May 31, veterans get an extra 5% off during the Go Outdoors sale, even on already reduced items. 
• Coleman. Veterans can save up to 30% on Coleman's outdoor gear during the Memorial Day Sale. This discount applies to a variety of items including tents, coolers, grills and lighting. The eligibility and timeframe for this offer are not specified. 
• Columbia Sportswear is offering a 40% discount on their entire range for the Memorial Day Sale, which runs now through Monday, May 27.  
• Home Depot is honoring our heroes with special deals from now through May 27, there are discounts on everything from appliances to outdoor furniture. 
• Lowe's home improvement store always offers veterans and active military members with a 10% discount. This offer extends to military spouses as well. 
• Walgreens. From May 24 to May 27, veterans, military members, and their families can enjoy a 20% discount on eligible regular-price items at Walgreens or Duane Reade stores. To take advantage of this offer, shoppers need a myWalgreens™ membership and proof of service. Restrictions apply.  
• Mattress Firm. Mattress Firm is hosting its Memorial Day Sale with up to 50% off on a wide range of products including mattresses, adjustable bases and bedding. 
• Under Armour, the sports apparel company, is offering its military discount this Memorial Day weekend. Veterans, active service members, retirees, military spouses and military family members can enjoy up to 50% off on all outlet/discounted items, with an additional 30% off using the code EXTRA30 at checkout. For regular-priced items, the company also extends a 20% discount; however, this cannot be used with other promo codes or on gift card purchases. 
• Walgreens. From May 24 to May 27, veterans, military members, and their families can enjoy a 20% discount on eligible regular-price items at Walgreens or Duane Reade stores. To take advantage of this offer, shoppers need a myWalgreens™ membership and proof of service. Restrictions apply. 

And many amusement parks here in the United States are also offering discounts for service members, so keep that in mind if you're headed off on vacation for the holiday weekend!
