Stephen Crowley has a wicked sense of humor. The digital designer dad uses Photoshop to put his 18-month-old daughter Hannah in some precarious situations. Whether it's driving on the highway, climbing up a laser, or perched on the edge of a railing, Stephen's photos will give any parent a near heart attack. It turns out, however, the photos have a deeper meaning.
Hannah was diagnosed with a rare, and life-threatening, immune system condition Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). After two weeks of chemotherapy, steroids and immuno-suppressants, all in isolation, Hannah was fortunate enough to get the bone marrow transplant she needed.
Now, Stephen says what started out as "just a bit of fun to worry family and friends," ended up raising awareness about signing up to become a bone marrow donor.
