AC/DC Bassist Cliff Williams Gets Back On Stage At Florida Party

AC/DC Performs At Toyota Center

AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams jumped briefly back into the groove last month when he joined a cover band for a version of "You Shook Me All Night Long" at a private party in Florida.

The band posted a clip of the impromptu, country-styled version of the hard rock classic featuring Williams on bass via its Facebook page. Williams posed for some photos with the band members afterwards.

A member of AC/DC since 1977, Williams retired after the last show of the 'Rock or Bust' tour with Axl Rose in 2016.

Despite rumors and evidence that something has been brewing, the band hasn't performed since Williams' last show.

The bassist has been spotted with his former band mates in the ensuing years. He was among the mourners at AC/DC co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young's funeral in 2017. And in 2018, Williams was seen at the band's favorite recording studio in Vancouver with guitarists Angus Young, Stevie Young, drummer Phil Rudd and front man Brian Johnson.

The band was supposedly working on a final studio album, featuring some of the last guitar tracks ever recorded by Malcolm, but almost a year-and-a-half later it seems nothing has come of those sessions.

Fans' hopes about an announcement were raised when AC/DC's social accounts sputtered to life this past summer, but the band's online presence has stuck to celebrating its past accomplishments (and it hasn't posted anything since September).
