Providence Mayor Opens Cooling Centers Thursday And Friday

Temperatures could approach 100 degrees in parts of the state Thursday and in Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza is opening up cooling centers.

The mayor says only registered service animals may be with you and water but not food will be available.

Cooling Centers are open at Crossroads Road Island.

It is open 24 hours a day.

Emmanuel House on Public Street is also open Thursday and Friday from 6am to 7pm

Various libraries are also open as cooling centers as well.
