Don Kaull, Longtime WHJJ-URI Sports Broadcaster Passes Away

Don Kaull, who called URI basketball games for many years on WHJJ radio has passed away at the age of 77. Kaull was the color analyst for URI broadcasts for over 35 years. For the final 29 years, he worked alongside WHJJ Sports Director Steve McDonald.

Don was a standout athlete at Rogers High School and was the MVP of the state basketball tournament for two years. He also led the URI Rams to the NCAA Tournament in 1966 as the team captain. In his professional career, Don was a partner at Packer Braman Insurance Agency.
