Gun Rights, Gun Control Advocates To Hold State House Rallies Today

Advocates of gun rights and gun control are planning to hold State House rallies today as lawmakers hold hearings on gun-related bills.

The group RI Gun Rights says it will be an opportunity for gun owners to push back against unconstitutional legislation that would infringe on their Second Amendment rights.

The group is asking advocates to show up in force and wear yellow so lawmakers are aware of their presence.

Meanwhile, groups like the Rhode Island Coalition Against Gun Violence will also rally and its leaders are asking supporters to wear orange.

The group says this is one of the most important days at the State House and advocates need to have a great presence with the other side out in full force.
