Governor Dan McKee has released a statement on the developments with Fatima Hospital and the Roger Williams Medical Center.
He says his administration's focus is on ensuring that both hospitals remain open to provide vital care to Rhode Islanders and support the employees who make that care possible.
He says the state wants to see a buyer complete a deal that keeps the hospitals operating.
McKee says the state will continue to work in good faith with Centurion and a Plan B is in development to ensure the hospitals remain open if the deal does not move forward.
