Why You Should Go to The Gym Hungry

  • A study out of the University of Bath suggests that the best way to maximize your work out is to go to the gym hungry
  • If you work out after having a full meal, your body becomes too concerned with the food you’ve just eaten and won’t focus on burning calories
  • Instead, if you go to the gym hungry the body can focus burning fat and turning it into muscle
  •  Study author Dylan Thompson explains, “This means that exercise in a fasted state might provoke more favorable changes in adipose tissue, and this could be beneficial for health in the long term.”
