In celebration of his 77th birthday on July 7th, Ringo Starr is looking for a fan to join him for a high profile brunch. It's tradition on Ringo's birthday for him to ask fans to spread “peace and love” at noon local time wherever they are. Well, this year he's celebrating his birthday with a peace and love event benefiting the David Lynch Foundation.
One lucky fan (and a guest) will be flown to the event in Los Angeles, will be put up in a four-star hotel, and will join Ringo and a slew of other VIP’s for brunch . Anyone can get in the running by making a donation of at least $10.00 at Omaze.
The David Lynch Foundation was formed in 2005 to help "prevent and eradicate the all-pervasive epidemic of trauma and toxic stress among at-risk population" through Transcendental Meditation. Check out Ringo's announcement of the contest to the right.
