Springsteen Performs at Jersey Shore Club Reopening

Bruce Springsteen took a night off from his smash Broadway show, “Springsteen On Broadway,” to make a guest appearance Monday night for the grand re-opening of Jersey Shore venue Asbury Lanes. The Asbury Park bowling alley-turned-music club had been closed for renovation since 2015.

The Boss sat in with his friend Danny Clinch’s band, the Tangiers Blues Band, and they jammed on four classics: “Rockin’ Pneumonia and the Boogie-Woogie Flu,” Willie Dixon’s “I Just Want To Make Love To You,” “Down The Road a Piece,” and the set closer, “Twist And Shout.”

Here’s Springsteen getting the rockin’ pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu at the show. To see videos of the whole set, visit the Springsteen fansite Backstreets.com
