Bruce Springsteen took a night off from his smash Broadway show, “Springsteen On Broadway,” to make a guest appearance Monday night for the grand re-opening of Jersey Shore venue Asbury Lanes. The Asbury Park bowling alley-turned-music club had been closed for renovation since 2015.
The Boss sat in with his friend Danny Clinch’s band, the Tangiers Blues Band, and they jammed on four classics: “Rockin’ Pneumonia and the Boogie-Woogie Flu,” Willie Dixon’s “I Just Want To Make Love To You,” “Down The Road a Piece,” and the set closer, “Twist And Shout.”
