Journey has made some changes to their lineup.Weeks after firing Ross Valory and Steve Smith over their alleged coup attempt, Neal Schon has announced the new additions taking over on bass and drums.
That includes the return of “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, who served as the band’s bassist in the mid-eighties and appeared on their 1986 album “Raised on Radio.” GRAMMY-winning drummer Narada Michael Walden has also joined the group.
“Journey is an ever-changing unstoppable force,” Schon writes on Twitter. “This is a completely new chapter for us and can’t wait to get to it!” The new lineup has made their debut with asocially distanced versionof Journey’s anthem “Don’t Stop Believin” as part ofUNICEF’s “Won’t Stop” benefit.Check it out below.
