Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band kicked off their latest North American tour with a set featuring The Beatles song “Octopus’s Garden” for the first time.
Taking the stage at Casino Rama in Orillia, Canada, for the All-Starr tour was Toto’s Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Colin Hay and the Average White Band’s Hamish Stuart. Their 24-song show featured classic tracks from each artist’s catalog and wrapped up with a rendition of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends” that led into the Plastic Ono Band’s “Give Peace a Chance.”
Ringo previously performed “Octopus’s Garden” four times while touring with his Roundheads collective - once in 1998 and three times in 2005. Check out a video of one of those 2005 performances below. His current band has tour dates scheduled through the summer and fall and is scheduled to end October 20th in Mexico City.
