Whatever you do, do not suggest Harry Styles is the new David Bowie to the late legend’s collaborators. Especially Tony Visconti. The music producer had some very pointed- and not kind- words for anyone who thinks Styles is the successor to Ziggy Stardust.
“Someone just told me that Harry Styles is the new Bowie,” wrote Visconti in a now-deleted Facebook post. “From what I saw tonight he’s not worthy of shining his shoes.” Some speculate Visconti is referring to Styles’ performance of “As It Was” at the GRAMMYs on Sunday.
But regardless of Visconti’s harsh opinion, Styles is probably unbothered. He took home one of- if not the- top prize in music: Album Of The Year for “Harry’s House.”
