For the first time in 30 years the Oscars will not have a host. Variety is reporting that the show will air without a host for only the second time ever. And there’s very good reason this hasn’t’ happened in 30 years…because the last time they did this it sucked. That night they chose to open the show with a horrible musical number that featured Snow White singing with Rob Lowe…Merv Griffin, singing I’ve Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts…it was horrible. Comedian Kevin Hart was all set to be the host, but some criticized that decision because of some homophobic Tweets he made years ago, so he backed out of the show. Ellen Degeneres tried to get him to agree to come back and host, but yesterday he said no, that’s not going to happen. So on February 24th Variety says we can expect some "A-listers" to intro different segments. Producers are scrambling right now to find stars willing to participate. I you missed that Oscar opening number way back when...here you go!
