Some local singers auditioned on NBC’s “The Voice” last night! Patrick McAloon and his daughter Ruby both auditioned separately on Monday night’s episode of the show. He sang Soul Asylum’s “Runaway Train” and managed to turn three judges chairs, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and John Legend. Blake and John were each really trying to get the dad on their teams, but Patrick eventually decided to go with Team Adam.
Next up was Ruby, who performed “Back to You” by Selena Gomez. Unfortunately no coached turned their chairs, but they did give her some advice. John Legend said, “You have a wonderful voice, wonderful range. You sounded a little unsure but I was unsure myself when I was your age, too. So, you just have to have some more seasoning. It’s going to happen for you.”
