Bruce Springsteen did a Taylor Swift and dropped a new song on the Internet at midnight, he just didn't announce it on the NFL Draft Day special. "Hello Sunshine" is the first single from"Western Stars," Springsteen's 19th studio album and his first album of new, original songs since 2012’sWrecking Ball. It's been described as being heavily influenced by 1960's and 70's California pop artists.
Bruce said, "This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements. It’s a jewel box of a record.” The first song, "Hello Sunshine" has kind of a Glenn Campbell "Wichita Lineman"feel, as an El Camino with Jersey plates rides across the desert.
Western Stars is available for pre-order . It will be released on June 14.
