GM and Michelin Testing Airless/Flatproof Tires!

Here in Rhode Island we have the crappiest roads in the United States, so we've all had a flat tire, or 2 or 20. Well General Motors has teamed up with Michelin to create an airless tire that is puncture proof! The prototype is called the Michelin Uptis, which stands for Unique Puncture-proof Tire System. From the looks of these things, you could drive over the worst roads in Providence and not bust a tire. Not only will the tires save you many a call to AAA, they also mean less raw materials and waste. Michelin hopes to start offering the new tires by 2024. The price hasn't been set yet on these new tires, but you can bet they'll be pricey. Definitely worth every penny though!
