New "Nirvana" Song Created With Artificial Intelligence

These days it can be hard to know what's real and what's not thanks to the advancement of artificial intelligence. Computer generated images, videos and voices are starting to become more and more common unfortunately. Just because technology makes something possible, doesn't always mean it's a good idea.

Now there's a new "Nirvana" song thanks in part to AI. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the company The Lost Tapes of the 27 Club says they scanned through between 20 and 30 Nirvana songs and picked out the hooks, guitar rhythms and vocal melodies. Using the program Magenta they were able to create a new song. They then added in vocals from Eric Hogan, the lead singer of a Nirvana tribute band, and the new song "Drowned in the Sun" was born. It's not very good in my opinion, but you decide for yourself.
