Crew members on a Frontier Airlines flight doled out some frontier justice on this disruptive passenger on a flight from Philadelphia to Miami on Saturday.
Twenty two year old Maxwell Wilkinson Berry allegedly ordered several alcoholic drinks and groped two female flight attendants during the flight. He also yelled obscenities and claimed his parents were worth $2 million before punching a male flight attendant. According to a statement from Frontier to USA Today, this guy “made inappropriate physical contact with two flight attendants and subsequently physically assaulted another flight attendant. As a result, the passenger needed to be restrained until the flight landed in Miami and law enforcement arrived.”
Oh yeah, they restrained him. They duct taped the dude to his seat as his fellow passengers cheered! As awesome as that is, Frontier initially said that form of restraint did not follow proper procedures, so they suspended the crew. However, after an outcry, and a statement from Sara Nelson the President of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA requesting Frontier Airlines support the crew, the airline now says the workers have been placed on paid leave pending an investigation.
The unruly passenger meanwhile, has been charged with three counts of battery.
