Thanks to the Covid 19 pandemic, last year's Tony Awards were postponed, but they'll finally air this month!
Normally the event happens at Radio City Music Hall, but there's been a change of venue this year. The 2020 Tony Awards, celebrating the best of Broadway, will take place on September 26th in front of a live audience at The Winter Garden Theater in New York City, and every one who attends will need to show proof that they've been vaccinated.
Some of the most nominated shows include “Tina - The Tina Turner Musical,” Alanis Morrisette's “Jagged Little Pill,” and “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” all are up for Best Musical. And a new play called "The Inheritance" has 11 nominations.
Presenters and performers have yet to be announced, but the show will air on Paramount Plus starting at 7 p.m. You can also watch on CBS, and we can expect them to get to the biggest awards between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
