Spectators Will Be Allowed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

As hokey as it is, I love the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Every year while I'm cooking and baking on the holiday, I have it on TV in the background. My favorite is the Snoopy balloon and of course when Santa rides by on a float at the end. It just always brings me back to my childhood when my mom would be watching it at our house.

Last year it was a bit of a bummer that crowds were not allowed anywhere near the parade route due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The event was re-imagined with much of it prerecorded over several days beforehand, and you could only watch it on TV, not in person.

But good news, this year spectators will be allowed to attend! Macy's says it will work along with the City of New York and also state officials to ensure everyone's safety. We can expect all the usual COVID-19 protocols including masks which will be required for everyone except singers and possibly some of the other performers. All people working on the parade, including volunteers will be required to show proof of vaccination, and we can expect more health and safety protocols to be announced as we get closer to Thanksgiving.

And for me the best news of all is that Grogu aka Baby Yoda will be joining the parade!

The 95th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on NBC on November 25th from 9am to noon! Click HERE for parade info and updates!
