A biopic is being made about the life of Weird Al Yankovic, and the actor chosen to play him might surprise you! It’s a VERY familiar face. A one-time boy wizard.
Yup! Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter himself, will play Weird Al in the new film “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” that’s being made for the streaming service Roku. I guess if you look at the two side by side they do look a little bit alike.
The guy gave us so many funny parody songs including “Eat It,” “Amish Paradise” to the tune of “Gangsta’s Paradise” and “Like a Surgeon.”
Here's the full synopsis from Roku: "The biopic holds nothing back, exploring every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story takes audiences on a truly unbelievable journey through Yankovic’s life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.”
Celebrity love affairs! Who knew? Well, I guess we’re about find out! Production on the film is set to begin in early February in Los Angeles!
