There was a time when people were afraid that robots would take their jobs, now, it seems that no one wants to work, so stores and restaurants are looking to AI to do the jobs.
The fast-food Mexican chain Chipotle is hiring robots to make the tortilla chips at their Cultivate Center test kitchen in Irvine, California. Along with Miso Robotics, Chipotle has created the AI robot named Chippy. I know, very original.
Chippy takes the restaurant’s recipe and whips up their tasty tortilla chips using corn masa flour, water, sunflower oil, salt and lime juice. He cooks them up to perfection even seasons them with salt and a a squeeze of lime juice.
The plan is for Chippy to go through a testing period at a Chipotle somewhere in Southern California later on this year. Restaurant staff and customers will then give their feedback which will determine whether or not Chippy will be added to Chipotles around the country.
