I’ve gotta admit that Starbucks is doing its best to be as green as possible. Just in time for Earth Day, the coffee company has debuted its first paper gift cards made out of seed paper that will grow flowers when you plant it in soil!
Each card is decorated with flowers and a sun and has the words, “This plantable card is ready to grow” printed across the top.
Once you’ve used up the card buying your lattes and macchiatos, just plant the card in some soil, water it from time to time and watch those flowers grow. The seed filled gift cards could sprout some black-eyed Susans or spurred snapdragons. Other flower varieties include sweet alyssum, bird’s eye, farewell to spring, and dwarf catchfly.
A limited amount of the new, plantable gift cards were made so grab them while they last at participating Starbucks locations.
