FBI Rescues Abducted Six-Year-Old Girl

A little girl abducted from her home in Michigan is rescued by St. Louis FBI agents. During an armed home invasion in west Michigan, a six-year-old girl was taken from her family by a suspect who they knew. Detroit FBI working with state and local police determined that the girl might have been taken to St. Louis, so they notified the FBI St. Louis Field Office.

Within eight hours of the abduction, St. Louis FBI agents located the girl unharmed and rescued her with the assistance of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team. They also arrested two suspects, one for home invasion and the other for violation of parole.

The girl’s father put out a statement expressing his gratitude for the law enforcement agents involved in his daughter’s safe return. "I would like to thank Muskegon Heights Police, Michigan FBI, Missouri FBI for doing a great job in getting my daughter back so quickly,” he said. “You guys did a really good job, caught them really quick. I’m happy now. I got my baby back."
