It seems like 'Yellowstone' is everybody's favorite show and I haven't watched it yet, but what is Kevin Costner's future on the series? We keep hearing that he might be leaving soon.
Costner has played John Dutton in the series since it debuted in 2018, but now Deadline is reporting that co-creator and showrunner Taylor Sheridan and Paramount are making moves to end the show with Kevin Costner at the center of it.
Word is the network, and the producers are talking with Matthew McConaughey about bringing him onboard to star in a “potential franchise extension.”
According to Deadline, Sheridan and Costner have had trouble agreeing on a shooting schedule, and Kevin is spending less and less time on set in Montana. Reportedly, he only proposed being there for a week to work on the second half of Season 5. Sources speaking to Deadline say Paramount Network said no to Costner’s proposal and is moving on to the other show.
Meanwhile, a Paramount spokesperson told Fox News Digital, "We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of ‘Yellowstone,’ and we hope that's the case for a long time to come."
