Writers for 'The Office' Are Back at Work on a New Series

This is exciting news for fans of 'The Office.' We could be getting some sort of a spin-off of the popular series.  

Since the show went off the air in 2013, fans of The Office have been clamoring for a return to the Dunder Mifflin paper company. I don’t know if we’re going to get that, but we may get something in the same universe. 

The British version of “The Office” starring Ricky Gervais ran on the BBC from 2001 to 2003. Greg Daniels introduced the show to the US with Steve Carell in the lead role in 2005,and the show ran for 9 seasons until it wrapped up in 2013. 

Now Daniels is bringing together writers to work on a new show that will have a similar feel to the OG series, and the group will begin brainstorming ideas today. Daniels says this will not be a reboot of the original series, but it may be done in the familiar “Office” style with a documentary crew following the cast.
