PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ A 34-year-old Rhode Island man who was on the run for years faces sentencing in a murder that occurred during a botched robbery attempt in 2004.
Ramon Virola was found guilty in March of counts including murder and assault.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Monday.

Virola was one of four men charged in connection with the killing of Christopher Nelson. Nelson was shot when he tried to wrestle the gun away during a robbery attempt at his Federal Hill apartment.
Three other suspects were already convicted in the case, two for murder and another for assault and conspiracy.
Virola was arrested in 2011 in Arizona, where authorities say he was living under an assumed identity. He had been one of Rhode Island's most wanted fugitives.
