Kelly Clarkson took her audience on a “Journey” during yesterday’s show. The former “Idol” contestant and current daytime talk show host belted out the 1983 hit “Faithfully” as her song of choice during her Kellyoke segment.
The Journey hit peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, while another song off the “Frontiers” album, “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)”, peaked at number 8. Even without choruses, an article in Classic Rock magazine called “Faithfully” the greatest power ballad of all time.
Meanwhile, accompanying Kelly on the keys was an 11-year-old piano prodigy named Jude. The young pianist was first featured on the show back in January, with a promise from Kelly that he’d be able to come back on and perform.
